Just a few quick updates.  This will be posted in Classroom Dojo as well as the classroom blog.

Book Fair

The children had so much fun exploring the book fair and creating wish lists!  I’ve attached your child’s wish list to this letter.  The children wrote their own titles and pricing so it may be a little hard to read.  Parents can visit the online book fair to browse the books we have available for purchase at the fair and even purchase books!  Parents can also visit the book fair during parent teacher conferences.  Our book fair buying time is tomorrow, Wednesday, November 30th 10:30 – 11.  Feel free to meet us at the book fair for shopping during this time.  You may also send in cash or check in an envelope labeled with your child’s name and specified for book fair.  Please remember to include the tax to the total amount.

You can find our book fair online at scholastic.com/fair

Classroom Blog

Dojo is how classroom updates and photos are shared. Dojo can be accessed from any electronic advice, making it easy to receive updates and view photos in our classroom story from just about anywhere!  Some updates that aren’t specific to our classroom family will post on the blog (Ex: youtube videos and webpage links) and to Dojo. Updates specific to our classroom family are posted on Dojo.  The blog address is https://mrswatsons1st.edublogs.org/  Please check in periodically!

Conferences

There are still spots available!  I would like to meet with all families. I’ve included the link below. Please note that we are allotted 15 minutes for each conference.  I will do my best to respect your time and keep on schedule.  Feel free to knock on the door when it’s your time to conference.  Thanks!

Volunteers Wanted!

Hello Families!

We are working toward fully implementing our Reader’s Workshop every morning in our classroom.  The goal is for students to work on reading, writing and spelling at their own developmental levels.  If you (or a Grandparent) would like to volunteer any day of the week (9:30 – 11:00) please email me at watson@appublicschools.com or send me a message on Dojo.  Thank You!

Winter Weather

Are you ready for the weather?!?!  Me either but unfortunately the weather is changing, and the need for coats and warmer clothes is upon us. Please start sending hats and gloves/mittens with your child when needed. Also, the kids will need to have their boots as soon as there is any snow on the ground.
