Our assessment for “words of the week” has changed.  We will give the students 5 words of the week in isolation.  This will be worth 5 points.  Then the students will be given 5 dictation sentences.  Each sentence will be worth 3 points for a total of 15 points (1- beginning the sentence with a capital letter, 1 – correct spelling of the word of the week, 1 – end punctuation).  Please have your child spend a few minutes each day practicing the words of the week in sentence writing.
